London-based/Barcelona-born musician Eterna has shared a new "surprise EP" Ants. Scurrying into view just ahead of his appearance at Primavera A La Ciutat this weekend, the 6-in-1 release plays like a scrapbook, accompanied by a full length video on Youtube. Fusing gothic guitar work with glitchy production and lo-fi, bedroom-pop approach, there's lots to enjoy here. Entirely self-recorded, performed, and mixed in his South London flat, Ants follows Eterna's acclaimed debut LP Debunker, which was created in much the same way. Described as "deeply insular and endlessly expansive", Eterna's music is like a window to the self, preserving a quiet sense of privacy that feels necessary for his work to exist.
